Jeanette Simon
Jeanette Simon, 87, of Laurel died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at Comfort Care Nursing Home in Laurel.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Memory Chapel of Laurel. Rev. Gary Walters will officiate. Burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Memory Chapel.
She was preceded in death her husband of 59 years, Otto Simon; two sons, Joey and Bobby Istre; two grandsons, Todd and Chad Istre; great-grandson Matthew Cooper; and four brothers.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne Simon and wife Joyce of Laurel, Marlon Simon of North Dakota and Glynn Istre and wife Pat of Erath, La.; two daughters-in-law, Sandra and Mary Istre; sister Vivian Kidder of Lafayette, La.; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth Darlene Graham
Graveside services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery for Elizabeth Darlene Graham, 50, of Laurel, who died Feb. 7, 2013 at Eastabutchie.
Bro. Aaron Smith will officiate at the service.
She is survived by sons Chance Williamson and Cruz Williamson, both of Ovett; daughter Candy Molina of Mize; mother Betty Jean Griffith of Laurel; sisters Angie Anderson of Atlantic, Iowa, and Beverly Cole of Laurel; brother Herbie Griffith of Laurel; and nine grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Chance Williamson, Cruz Williamson, Gordon Cole, Josh Griffith and Bill Smith.
Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle is in charge of arrangements.
Melba Dean Valentine Ezell
Melba Dean Valentine Ezell, 78, of Centerville Community died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Big Creek Baptist Church. Rev Jimmy Hood will officiate. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Memory Chapel.
Mrs. Ezell was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed serving her church and family and the fun time with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roland and Mattie Valentine.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Edsel Ezell of the Centerville Community; one daughter, Angeleah Schumpert and husband Bobby of Centerville Community; four sons, Steven Ezell and wife Terry of the Big Creek Community, Michael Ezell of Centerville, Eric Ezell and wife Melody of the Hebron Community and Christopher Ezell and wife Kristy of Centerville; two brothers, Mariland Valentine of Big Creek and Milfred Valentine and wife Linda of Ellisville; three sisters, Magdalene Pitts and husband Glenn and Marjorie DeVos, both of Brandon and Mary Nell Royals of D’Iberville; 11 grandchildren, Hayley Yarbrough and husband Michael, Jansen Ezell, Sunny Davis and husband Chance, Madelyn Ezell, Amellia Chancellor, Courtney Chancellor, Seth Schumpert, Adam Ezell, Alyssa Ezell, Roland Ezell and Jared Ezell; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will Bobby Schumpert, Vernon Newman, Steven Ezell, Michael Ezell, Eric Ezell and Christopher Ezell.
