Sexting laws

How do you you think law enforcement and the courts should handle “sexting” cases between teens?

Enforce current child pornography laws — offenders should get a minimum of five years in prison and be required to register as a sex offender
Continue handling the cases as they do now — informally, between the parents and/or school officials, and let them decide on a punishment that fits each individual case
The Legislature should address “sexting” and allow penalties that would serve as more of a deterrent but that aren’t as harsh as existing child porn laws
